Assault defamed Assam internationally: Shinde



INDIA: Ensuring powerful activity against those engaged in the continuous violence in Assam, House Reverend Sushilkumar Shinde on Thursday said the situations between Bodos and immigrant Muslims have defamed the condition worldwide.
He said the govt was dedicated to offer protection to all areas of individuals residing in Assam and protection causes were instructed to take all possible actions to secure both Bodos and Muslims.
"The violence has defamed Assam worldwide," he informed correspondents here.

Shinde said the management has been requested to type sychronisation committees in the area among Bodos and Muslims to recover serenity in the violence-hit places as beginning as possible.
Asked about the police arrest of a Bodo MLA for his claimed participation in the violence, he said, "Whosoever is engaged in the violence will be penalized... All accountable will be penalized."
Shinde also said that it was the liability of the the Bodoland Territorial Independent Zones (BTAD) to recover serenity in the impacted places.
