INDIA: New Delhi School Vice Chancellor Dinesh Singh on Saturday had written to Nation Activities Reverend Ajay Maken saying he would look into the issue of Unmukt Chand, the leader of U-19 Native indian cricket group which won the Globe Cup, who has been declined authorization by St Stephen's Higher education to appear for his examinations.
"As regards Unmukt Chand's situation, the issue came to my attention two times ago and we have highly advised the Major to ahead the documents to us as the first so that we will help Unmukt," Singh had written to Maken.
Union HRD Reverend Kapil Sibal also talked to Singh as well as Valson Thampu, the Major of St Stephen's Higher education, after Native indian leader MS Dhoni and Maken rallied behind the youthful cricketer.
Sibal said he has requested for Thampu if he could use his optional abilities to make sure that Unmukt could sit for his university examinations. "He (Thampu) said he was limited by university guidelines and then I requested for the Vice Chancellor if he could use his urgent abilities. He (VC) decided to it and said he would be confidently prepared," the HRD Reverend said.
Asked if there should be a cover such situations, Sibal said there should be a supply under university rules where such urgent abilities can be used in unique situations in nationwide attention.
Delhi School guidelines mission a college student to have at least 33.3 % presence in an educational period after all exceptions, but 19-year-old Unmukt, a first season BA college student of St Stephen's Higher education, could not be present at needed variety of sessions as a result of his cricketing places.
