KERALA: The presidential poll candidate Pranab Mukherjee on Wednesday thrashed BJP's allegation that his letter of resignation to the Indian Statistical Institute was a fabricated one. He was earlier the chairman of the institute."Are you saying that I myself forged my signature? The issue of forgery comes only when somebody else forges the signature of another person. What is the point they are making," Mukherjee asked while speaking to reporters in Thiruvananthapuram on Wednesday.
"These issues were clearly debated at the office of the returning officer the other day, and he has cleared everything. He has responded to all the allegations. If there is an allegation of forgery of signature, then somebody else forges the signature of another person. Then that person should lodge a complaint. We cannot complain that a man has forged his own signature," Mukherjee said.
