INDIA: Rahul Dravid has been suggested by the BCCI for this seasons Rajiv Gandhi Khel Ratna prize, India's maximum honor in activities. The panel has also made the decision to nominate allrounder Yuvraj Singh for the Arjuna prize, an honor given by the Native indian govt to acknowledge success in activities.
"We will be sending the brands of Rahul Dravid for Khel Ratna Award and Yuvraj Singh for the Arjuna Award next 7 days (to the government)," BCCI's primary management official Ratnakar Shetty said.
Dravid could become only the third cricketer to win the Khel Ratna after Sachin Tendulkar (1997-98) and MS Dhoni (2007-08).
