INDIA: Director Common of Cops K. Ramanujam said protesters who marched towards Kudankulam would have assaulted the atomic power place had law enforcement not intervened.
Contending that law enforcement had worked out constraint for several several weeks, he said over 5,000 individuals, such as females, ignored recurring alerts by police not to go towards the place. “Even as police were discussing, they assaulted them. Netting were set on the sand to snare law enforcement. Our concern was to secure the atomic power place. Some men in vessels were also going towards Kudankulam…many agitators were with records.”
On the shooting in Tuticorin area which stated the lifestyle of one individual, Mr. Ramanujam said a list of agitators set on flame a short-term out-post and assaulted law enforcement when they tried to avoid further harm. “We have implemented extra human resources in trouble-prone places. U. Arulanandam, Tamil Nadu Associate of the ‘Alliance for the Launch of Simple Fishermen’ reprehended the shooting in which a anglers was murdered. Blaming law enforcement of starting the fishers to engage in assault, he said the real purpose (of the police) was to police arrest Individuals' Activity Against Nuclear Energy convener S.P. Udayakumar.
He said tht the fishers organizations in the seaside zones were greatly worried over the occurrence and they were preparing to go on a hit.
“The protesters are not battling for atomic power or any other advantage. We are only saying that the KKNPP is a prospective risk to protection and its effluents will eliminate the seafood at sea...it is battle for our living. As well as kids are also agitating because it will impact their lifestyle as well,” Mr. Arulanandam said.
