Uninor to public auction organization, Unitech prepares for lawful battle



INDIA: Uninor will public auction its organization and resources to get highest possible possible profits for its traders and has welcomed offers until Aug 6.

"In perspective of the upcoming Superior Judge required termination of certificate on Sept 7, 2012, Uninor control has made the decision to perform an public auction of Uninor's organization, such as its resources, while the organization is still a going issue," Uninor said in a declaration.

Norway-based Telenor, which has 67.25 % share in the telecommunications service agency, is eager to buy the organization. The move is being compared by partnership associate Unitech.

"This (sale of assets) will allow the organization to produce the highest possible possible profits for its lenders and also protected the long run of Uninor's clients, workers and associates in the arms of new possession," Uninor included.

In a individual declaration, Telenor said that despite negative conditions, it is willing to "participate in this public auction and get all of Uninor's organization. This will make sure that the value of Uninor's organization is maintained, and prohibited to be damaged."

"As regards Unitech's veto privileges, we believe these are instantly given up once it is recognized that the shareholders' contract and all privileges enshrined in it, was depending on scams. We are willing to identify this problem, should the need occur," Telenor said.

Unitech, which has 32.75 % stocks, has vetoed Uninor offer to public auction resources and has indicated that it may begin law suit if Uninor goes forward with the public auction.

However, according to Uninor, the procedure will make sure that the value of the Uninor organization is properly secured beyond Sept 7 as the successful prospective buyer would have the capability to continue Uninor's organization as a going issue beyond this time frame.

It also said that if the public auction procedure is not followed, the organization would have no option but to be liquidated publish Sept 7, when the organization drops its permits.

The Superior Judge requested termination of 122 permits Feb 2 and had set a due time frame of Sept 7 for all the impacted companies to close down functions.
