INDIA: Public social networking website Facebook or myspace on Wednesday said it is operating with the govt to eliminate "hateful content" that is widely being recognized as likely to ignite public stress across the nation.
"Facebook will eliminate material which breaches our terms as set out in our declaration of rights and obligations. Content or individuals can be eliminated from Facebook or myspace for a variety of reasons, such as providing direct calls for assault or perpetuating dislike conversation," the company representative said.
"We have obtained needs from Native indian government bodies and organizations and will work through those needs and addressing the organizations. We persuade folks to continue to use our tools to review material they are concerned about so that we can examine and take action fast," he added.
This is against the back drop of the on the internet dislike strategy focusing on individuals from the northeast which has put the highlight on the power of the social media system in Native indian, which accounts more than 60 thousand customers.
